Reviews about Oakville Vascular

  • I looked into EVLT over the last few years and really tried to get a handle on the procedure before having it done , the alternative methods for removal of veracious veins seemed substandard and not ideal,so my options were limited. I was recieving treatment before surgery from a doctor Gagic in Hamilton Ontario who was using injections to try and shrink my veins and for a few years it worked ....but it was becoming a bit of a issue! ..Doctor Gagic was honest about the usefulness of future injections and recommended EVLT on numerous occassions and tried to inform me on the procedures benefits ... the cost $5650 for both legs. as this procedure is not covered by OHIP it seemed a little pricey.OHIP was not prepared to pay the bill and if they did decide to pay the waiting list could take years to recieve a date. I was told by Dr. Gagic that my best possible choice for doctors was at Oakville vascular.. After complaining about the price "and questioning the pros and cons" I decided to move forward with the surgery. I had the surgery in June and although the procedure can be a little uncomfortable, the time spent doing the surgery was very quick and painless . Post operative surgery was not painless in fact at times it was very painful "but what are you going to do" as the main vain is essential being destroyed. I personally have noticed a great deal of improvement in my circulation and am pleased with the resaults so far ...it takes time for the veins to break down and disappear completely but so far I would highly recommended Oakville vascular I have talked to many people who have had the EVLT laser treatment done at Oakville vascular and not one person has said one thing negative about them.EVLT should be added to OHIP as a covered procedure so that all people rich or poor can benefit from this technology. I think they are the ultimate in professional and “highly recommend them, this was money well spent. Excellent .in every way Truly Edward HC Graydon

  • I would recommend this clinic to all who have varicose veins or advanced venal disease. The doctors are very caring. I have advanced venal disease. Because I was referred to other doctors/surgeons that were not specialists by my GP (who has since retired), they made matters worse for me. By the time I was finally referred to Dr. Szalay and Dr. Ramos my legs were a mess. Thankfully a new procedure, venaseal was being introduced in Canada, and I was lucky enough to be one of the recipients in the free trial. I was very pleased with the outcome. One leg is now all good, the other I am called a "work in progress" as the previous doctors made such a mess of my leg, it will take more than the venaseal to correct it. I am so thankful to all the staff at this clinic, they are courteous, respectful and helpful. I have barely waited much past my appointment time, a big plus, but also understand that there are times that I may have to wait when circumstances arise out of the doctors control. Understanding goes both ways in my books. I have and will continue to recommend this clinic to people I come in contact with, even my new GP was given a reference as she was looking for a specialist to refer her patients too. Thank you to all of you for your care and continued treatment for my venal disease. You guys rock!

  • I have been going to Oakville Vascular for over 4 years with great results on my veins WITHOUT having to spend hundred or thousands of dollars as others have stated. I have NEVER had a problem with either of the doctors or the staff there. The receptionist is always friendly and helpful. I believe she runs the clinic on her own (I've never spoken to or seen another receptionist or administrative staff) and she does a fabulous job considering the little help she gets. They are probably a little understaffed and could use some additional help. There is sometimes a wait to get an appointment but the doctor isn't in the office every day. Overall I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking to have there veins treated. Great docs great staff all around!!
