  I first met Doctor Weening after completely rupturing my quad tendon last April 30th. On May 1 2017 Dr. Weening performed the surgery to reattach the tendon to the patella. Dr. Weening went out of his way pre-surgery, even to the extent of putting on music in the OR that I liked to relax and reduce the tension pre op. Post Op I saw Dr. Weening he was through in his explanation of the procedure and what happened. I was treated amazingly by the entire staff at Oakville Trafalgar during my stay as was released 3 days post surgery. The follow up with Dr. Weening was awesome he gave advice, encouragement and compassion traits seemingly lost in today's medical field by most. The original prognosis was a long and lengthy rehab of up to 6 months before returning to regular activity. So you can imagine as a former football player, boxer and triathlete sedentary life and inactivity don't sit well. I took Dr. Weenings advice on rehab and on July 1st the brace completely came off as I was at 90 degrees ROM, by July 15th I was cycling over 30km, by Aug 15th I was back running up to 5-8k runs without pain and very comfortably. In October I rode 100km ride with no issues to my knee. I trust Dr. Weening with any surgery in fact I currently need a knee replacement on my other knee and Dr. Weening was my first and only choice, why mess with the rest when you have the best. His front office manager Tricia is always helpful, congenial and one of the nicest people I have met. I would without hesitation recommend Dr. Weening to any one requiring orthopedic surgery, treatment or advice.
